Six CSU greats to be inducted in Hall of Fame

Standout running backs Damon Washington and Kevin McDougal, as well as four others will be honored at the annual Sports Hall of Fame banquet.

Damon Washington, CSU's No. 2 all-time rusher, joins the Hall of Fame at the Oct. 26 banquet.Tickets are on sale for the 2012 CSU Sports Hall of Fame Banquet, set for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Lory Student Center Theatre.

The event, sponsored by the Department of Athletics and the Ram Alumni Athletes Association, will feature the induction of six new members into the CSU Sports Hall of Fame. The Class of 2012 includes football greats Kevin McDougal, Damon Washington and Harvey Achziger; swimming star Jim Malley; track and field standout Chris Adsit; and volleyball great Jill (Johnson) Bedard.

The CSU Sports Hall of Fame debuted in 1988 to honor the greatest athletes and coaches in school history. The six new additions bring the total hall of fame membership to 146.

Tickets are $50 for RAAA members and $55 for non-members. Tables of eight can be reserved for $500. To make reservations, call (970) 491-4601.
