CSU summer study abroad in Freiburg, Germany

June 24, 2013

CSU's summer study abroad program in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany will run from June, 24-Aug. 5.

The CSU summer study abroad program in Freiburg, Germany is sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the College of Liberal Arts in cooperation with IES (Institute for the International Education of Students).

Of particular interest to German majors and minors, this intensive program will allow participants to refine their German language skills and gain first-hand knowledge of German history, politics, culture, architecture, and cuisine.

Freiburg

Located in Southwest Germany, Freiburg is a picturesque university and medieval cathedral town with a rich educational heritage. Now a modern, cosmopolitan city of 200,000 people, Freiburg's skyline is still dominated by the famous gothic Münster (cathedral), and small streams (Bächle) dating from the Middle Ages still flow along the narrow streets in the city center. Though small enough that almost everything is within easy walking or biking distance, Freiburg is also large enough to offer a rich cultural life of its own, making it an ideal location for international study.

All students on the program will enroll in courses, taught by CSU Associate Professor Jolyon T. Hughes.
