The 2011 Lagoon Summer Concert Series continues with the Hollyfelds and their unique mix of country, folk and pop with just a touch of bluegrass. '5 stars (out of 5) - [The Hollyfelds are] a band that should inspire you to rename the alt-country genre in their honor...It's rare to find a mix of talent with the magical spark that The Hollyfelds possess.'~ Wildy's World.
Bring your camp chairs, blankets, and picnic coolers for a relaxing evening on the lawn of the Lagoon in the heart of our beautiful campus.
Admission is free.
The original members of The Hollyfelds were husband and wife musicians... who "met boy and girl musicians and then remembered poker buddy musician Bob Loblaw."
The band formed in May of 2006 and have gone on to create Saratoga, an album that was described as one of the finest alt-country albums of the past 10 years. Their latest album is Black Heart Blue.
The Lagoon Summer Concert Series has been an event in Fort Collins for over 18 years. Thanks to the generous support of Colorado State University, this event has continued to thrive and grow into the success it is today.
