MAX construction impacts update to parking lot 575

November 14, 2013
by Mitch Wills

Construction on the city's MAX Bus Rapid Transit system on campus will continue in student parking lot until Nov. 21.

The project impacts traffic flow and parking in parking lot 575, the student parking lot directly to the west of South College Avenue between Lake Street and Pitkin Street. Vehicle access to lot 575 from Pitkin will is currently closed. However, the vehicle access from College Avenue and Lake Street is open.

A bike and pedestrian detour is in place, which enhances safety. Click here for a map of the detour. The detour routes bikes and pedestrians directly west from the tunnel to the Max guide way, which parallels the rail road tracks, via the parking lot.

The lot closure will allow crews to work quickly and minimize impacts over a short period of time.
