Meet with a peer academic coach

August 29, 2011

The Institute for Learning and Teaching's peer academic coaches are available to help you make the most of your semester. Stop by during their available hours for help with study techniques, reading strategies, or additional concerns you may have.

Seek help for a successful semester

Work one-on-one with a peer who can help you make a plan for your successful semester, or just give you some tips on getting organized and studying effectively. Common topics to bring to TILT's peer academic coaches include:

  • Effective study techniques
  • Managing time and organization
  • Reading strategies
  • Memory & concentration
  • Note-taking
  • Test-taking preparation and strategies

The coaches are available on a walk-in basis at the Arts & Sciences Tutorial Hall. Each coaching session lasts around 20 minutes. When you enter the Great Hall, the desk staff can point you to where the Academic Coaches are located.

Fall 2011 peer academic coach schedule:
  • Mondays: 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 12 p.m.-1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
