Monfort Professors-in-Residence present Reza Aslan

Reza Aslan is an Iranian-American author, editor, lecturer, commentator, and scholar. He will be at CSU March 9-10 as part of the Monfort Professors-in-Residence program.

Monfort Lecture Series

Reza Aslan is an Iranian-American author and scholar. He will be at CSU March 9-10 as part of the Monfort Professors-in-Residence program.

During the two-day period, Aslan will attend and speak in two classes at CSU. He will also attend a student and faculty luncheon, give an evening lecture and book signing, and attend a reception with student organizations.

Author, editor, commentator

Reza Aslan is a religious scholar and New York Times best-selling author. He speaks and writes about issues of religion, specifically those pertaining to Islam and its interactions with the rest of the world. He is currently a contributing editor for The Daily Beast.

His work has also been featured in, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Boston Globe. Aslan has appeared on Meet the Press, Hardball with Chris Matthews and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Monfort Professors in Residence Program

The Monfort Professors-in-Residence Program is sponsored by a $5 million gift from the Monfort Foundation. The program was established in 2002 and brings accomplished leaders from business, government, and the arts to interact with students and enrich their learning experience. The program brings the diverse perspectives of a wide variety of individuals to the Colorado State University campus.
