Colorado State University is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Associate Director of Procurement and Accounts Payable, a leadership position reporting to the University Controller.


Candidate qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a procurement professional;
  • Minimum of five years of experience supervising, developing and evaluating professional staff;
  • Skills in communications; interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and all levels of personnel within the organization, including senior management; and
  • Experience with the regulatory environment associated with a public nonprofit institution of higher education or other governmental entity.

Preferred:

  • Five or more years of higher education experience, preferably in a central leadership role in a comprehensive research-intensive university setting;
  • Strong background in customer service with 10 or more years of supervisory experience working in an environment with high volume transactions;
  • Three or more years of professional accounts payable experience;
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business administration, finance or a related field; and
  • Nationally recognized procurement certification (i.e. CPPO, CPPM).
