Powerful Tools for Caregivers series

November 15, 2012

Powerful Tools for Caregiver is an educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend.

You will benefit from this class whether you are helping a parent, spouse, partner, friend, someone who lives at home, in an assisted living/nursing home, or across the country. This help may include grocery shopping, paying bills, providing transportation, or helping with personal care and meals.

Thrive as a caregiver

This a seven-part series. To realize full value for the series, participants should plan on attending all seven classes.

This program has been shown to have a positive impact on caregiver health. PTC helps caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings better, reduce guilt, anger and depression, and locate helpful resources. This class is designed to help you ‘thrive’ as a caregiver, not just ‘survive’, and it may be the most important class you’ll ever take.
