'Right here in River City'

The timeless musical, Music Man, became a hit on Broadway, winning five Tony Awards (named Best Musical in the same year that West Side Story was nominated for the award). Enjoy an exuberant concert performance of the play by Colorado State University's Music Department -- joined by Opera Fort Collins.

For what has become a fun summer tradition, the Colorado State University Music Department, in collaboration with Opera Fort Collins, presents: 

  • A concert version of the Broadway hit The Music Man,
  • Directed by students from the Summer Master of Music in Education in Conducting program.

Music Man won a Tony Award for Best Musical in 1958. The popular mid-50s musical about small town River City and conman Harold Hill, features the memorable tunes:

  • Seventy-Six Trombones
  • Ya Got Trouble
  • Till There Was You

General admission is $5. Purchase tickets.
