Collaboration with Opera Fort Collins

"Il Trovatore" (The Troubadore) brings Opera Fort Collins’ favorite performers, including Charles Taylor, Brian Stinar, Stacy Canterbury, and Shannon Magee, alongside OFC Apprentice Artists from CSU, together for a fiery production of Verdi’s epic tale.

Noting the difficulty of the opera, the great tenor Caruso once said "All you need is the four best singers in the world." This collaboration, conducted by Wes Kenney, brings out the best, and is a season must-hear!

Synopsis

"Il Trovatore" revolves around the story of Azucena who, in seeking revenge for her mother's murder (at the hands of Count di Luna) kills her own son by mistake when she means to murder the son of the count.  She then decides to raise Manrico, the count's son.
