Budget process: be part of the discussion

Colorado State holds annual open planning and budget hearings as well a "Budget 101" educational session that presents straightforward information designed to help the campus community understand CSU's complex budget process.

Administration BuildingMembers of the campus community are invited to participate in the ongoing discussion of CSU’s Fiscal Year 2012 budget.

“We are committed to openness and transparency in Colorado State University’s budget process, and we encourage the campus community to be involved in these discussions,” said Tony Frank, president of CSU.

Important dates to remember:

January 27 and 28: Budget Retreat featuring 20-minute presentations from each college and vice president, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day in the Lory Student Center Cherokee Park Room (full agendas below). The session is open to the campus community.

February 28: Budget 101 featuring Provost Rick Miranda and Associate Vice President for Finance Lynn Johnson, who will present a detailed overview of university finances and the budgeting process. Budget 101 is open to the public and will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Cherokee Park Room. The session also will be captured on video and placed on the Web at www.pres.colostate.edu/budget.

March 9: Budget Open Forum, the culmination of months of campus input and public meetings about the budget process and proposed budget. More information will be available closer to the date.
