Introducing the 2009-2010 basketball squads

The event will introduce fans to this year’s basketball squads in a fun and interactive way, displaying a variety of activities.

With a three-point shootout, a dunk contest, scrimmages and an autograph session, there is something for Rams fans of all ages.

7 O’clock Rock also is a good opportunity for the new players to experience playing in front of a crowd and help them prepare for the season. Lastly, it gives fans a chance to hear Coach Miles and Coach Holt talk about this year’s squads and the teams’ goals and expectations.

Tradition started by Coach Tim Miles

Third-year Head Coach Tim Miles started the tradition when he coached at North Dakota State, and brought the even to CSU. Miles knows it’s a great way to start off the year.

“We are excited about the season and 7 O’clock Rock is the perfect way to begin!” said Miles. “It’s fun, exciting, and fan-friendly.”

Enthusiasm and excitement for upcoming season

Women’s Head Coach Kristen Holt, now in her second season with the Rams, recognizes the importance of a relationship with Rams fans.

7 O'clock Rock is a great event in that it gives our fans a glimpse of our team and what they can expect to see from us this year,” Holt said. “Our fans are very important to us and we hope this event will gather enthusiasm and excitement for the upcoming season.”
