Local access to Plum will remain open at City Park Avenue.

Starting March 31 and running through April 2, both Shields and Plum will be fully closed at the intersection at night.

Improving storm and sewer infrastructure

The project is to improve storm and sewer infrastructure to accomodate the development of a large housing project. The work was postponed last fall due to flooding. Sections of Plum street will be closed through mid-July to accomodate the project.

The project will replace about 3,000 feet of sanitary sewer and 600 feet of storm sewer pipe on Shields Street between Elizabeth and Plum Streets, and on Plum Street to City Park Avenue. Following utility work, Plum Street will be repaved.

The street will be closed to vehicle, pedestrian and bike traffic. For more information, contact the City of Fort Collins Utilities Office or visit the website.
