Student information system maintenance Oct. 16-17

Colorado State University's Student Information System (known as "ARIES") which processes and stores information related to students, courses, registration, and much more, has been scheduled for an upgrade and will be unavailable during the weekend of Oct. 16-17.

New functionality and updates

As a result, two popular web applications (RAMweb and ARIESweb) will also be unavailable during this upgrade. ARIES will be upgraded to take advantage of new functionality and bring CSU up-to-date with the most recent versions of applications and database management system.

Impact to students

RAMweb will not be available from 6 a.m. (MDT) Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, until 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010. You will not be able to access any RAMweb features during this time. However, you will be able to access course materials you may have on RamCT as well as your @rams.colostate.edu account (if applicable).

Impact to faculty/staff

ARIES (to include TWARBUS) and ARIESweb (to include RAMselect) will not be available from 6 a.m. (MDT) Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, until 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010.

The following systems, services, Web pages, etc. will be unavailable during this upgrade:

  1. ARIES Student Information System
  2. RAMweb
  3. ARIESweb (including RAMselect)
  4. Banner Document Management Suite (BDMS)
  5. ARIES Workflow
  6. TWARBUS
  7. eID (create and modify processes)

The following systems, services, Web pages, etc. will not be affected by this upgrade*:

  1. RamCT
  2. Online Admissions Application
  3. Rams Mail (Google Apps)
  4. Exchange
  5. Webmail
  6. Campus Administrative Portal (CAP) (except ARIES related applications)
  7. Kuali Financial System (KFS)
  8. Operational Data Store (ODS)
  9. Human Resources System
  10. Rave Alert
  11. Keyless (Card Key) Access
