From pirates to Handel

Seven harpists from The School of the Arts Music Program will play an arrangement by the Harp Ensemble's director Rachel Starr Ellins titled, Three Themes from the Movie, 'Pirates of the Carribbean,' as well as classical selections.

"The sound of the Harp Ensemble is really a unique sound and a neat experience," says Rachel Starr Ellins, the director of the Harp Ensemble. 

"The audience can expect a program of varied music styles and a chance to hear and see seven harps on stage at once."

The program includes two arrangements by Ellins: Three Themes from the Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean and Take 5 by Dave Brubeck. Other selections include M Elliot’s Rhyme or Treason, Albeniz’s Sonata in D, Handel’s Passacaille
