Making the move off-campus? Want to become a preferred tenant?

February 17, 2010

Off-Campus Life is proud to present 'Renting 101: Preferred Tenant Workshop.' Created for students looking to move off campus for the first time, the class will help participants learn how to navigate the rental process and become expert tenants.

Tackle the details

Guest speakers will tackle the topics of lease-signing, budget, city ordinances, fire safety, rental housing standards, off-campus parties, renter’s insurance, and more.

Speakers include:

  • Kathy Harward, Student Legal Services
  • Polly Lauridsen, City Code Compliance
  • Mike Gebo, City Building Inspector
  • Kathy Cox, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of N. Colorado
  • Melissa Emerson, Off-Campus Life/Neighborhood Services

Join us on Wednesday, March 3 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 210 LSC, for the two hour moving off campus class where students will come away with the knowledge and resources to make finding a place--and living off campus--a much easier process.

At the completion of this course, each student will receive a "Preferred Tenant" certificate. The class is free but you must register online by March 1.
