February is Black History Month. The theme of CSU's celebration is, "Progress is impossible without change.' Activities planned for Black History Month begin Tuesday, Feb. 3 at noon in the Lory Student Center Commons.

The celebration of Black History Month at Colorado State University includes the following events sponsored by the student organization Black Definition. 

All events are free and open to the public.

Tuesday, Feb. 3 at noon

Opening ceremony and mayoral proclamation, Lory Student Center Commons

Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m.

Keynote speaker, Gregory L. Primus, M.D., former CSU Ram and NFL Chicago Bears wide receiver, orthopedic surgeon advocate, South Suburban Hospital, Chicago, Ill., Lory Student Center, room 228 

Friday, Feb. 6 at noon

Movie of the week – The Great Debaters (2008), starring Denzel Washington and Jurnee Smollett, Lory Student Center, room 204

Friday, Feb. 13 at noon
