In 10 years, RamRide has provided 200,000 rides, and is the largest student-run safe ride program in the country.
Celebrate with Ram Ride from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 24 in the LSC RamRide Office, located in the Lory Student Center. Cake and RamRide swag will be available.
With the launching of a new iPhone and Android app in the next few weeks, students will have the ability to request rides, access estimated time of arrival, and receive notification when the car is approaching their location.
RamRide app includes:
Additionally, a new dispatch system just implemented allows RamRide to decrease wait times and provide more rides home to CSU students.
Mobile Knowledge, the company responsible for the dispatch system, has 30 years of experience and more than 200 clients. We are the first university safe ride program that has purchased their software. RamRide expects this new system to decrease wait times in order to fulfill our mission of ensuring the safety of our community with more safe rides home.
The dispatch phone line will still be open to take calls. If you need a safe ride home Thursday through Saturday, call (970) 491-3333 beginning at 10 p.m.
For student organizations interested in volunteering for RamRide, we are continuing the 30 volunteers for $1,000 incentive program for the first four weeks of the spring semester. Stop by the RamRide Office to sign up for a night.
