Prospective walk-on football players invited to meeting

If you've always wanted to suit up for the Rams and see what it feels like to play major college football, this might be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Always dreamed of playing college football? Here’s your chance.

The CSU football program is holding a meeting for prospective walk-on (non-scholarship) players Thursday, Jan. 23, at 3 p.m. in the McGraw Auditorium at the McGraw Athletic Center.CSU coach Jim McElwain is looking for prospective walk-on players.

Many success stories

CSU has a long history of successful walk-on players, with several going on to play in the NFL. The list includes Steve Bartalo, the school’s all-time leader in rushing yards, current San Francisco 49ers linebacker Clark Haggans, and former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Adrian Ross.

Linebacker James Skelton, one of CSU’s top players and a team captain last season, began his career as a walk-on, as did several other current Rams.
