Virtuoso cellist and pianist

Barbara Thiem, Cello and Theresa Bogard, Piano will perform the romantic, classical works of Arthur Foote, contemporary offerings by American Robert Muczynski, and compositions by Grammy Award-winning Libby Larsen.

Barbara Thiem is an internationally acclaimed cellist who combines teaching cello and coaching chamber music with an active schedule of performances in Europe and the United States.Monday, October 15

CSU faculty Barbara Thiem, Cello collaborates with special guest Theresa Bogard, Piano for an evening of American music from such composers as Arthur Foote, Robert Muczynski, and Libby Larsen.

The concert will take place in the Organ Recital Hall of the University Center for the Arts.  

About our performers

Barbara Thiem, Ph.D., is a member of the Mendelssohn Trio and has produced several recordings, including Works for Cello and Organ with organist Robert Cavarra, and many more.

Theresa Bogard, Ph.D., is an active performer combining varied interests in historical performance practice, contemporary music, chamber music and the music of women composers. In 1988, she received a Fulbright grant to study fortepiano with Stanley Hoogland at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague in the Netherlands.
