University Library expansion and redesign enters Phase II: Cafe opens

March 29, 2011

The Morgan Library expansion and redesign is now in full swing with a new entrance located on the northeast corner of the building and renovation of the third floor to include the Collaboratory space.

Throughout the 18-month project, Library collections will move around the building, and some books may not be available for browsing. Please contact staff at the Loan Reserve Desk or Help desk when locating books and other library materials. Both service desks are located on the first floor.

A satisfying Grind

The Library Café, Morgan’s Grind, is now open. The Grind is already a popular place for students and faculty to interact. Baristas prepare drinks and light food for students studying late into the evening.

The Library entrance has been relocated to the northeast, as addition work begins on the front of the building. The addition will provide a 24-hour work space for students. The project also will increase the number of group collaboration rooms and add video production studios.

Regularly updated construction information is posted on the Library website.
