Jens Eickhoff joins Statistical Laboratory

July 10, 2009

Jens Eickhoff has joined the Statistical Laboratory as a statistical consultant, with particular expertise in biostatistical methods, design of clinical trials, adaptive methods, latent variable modeling and hierarchical models.

Lab supports faculty, serves multiple colleges

The addition of Eickhoff to the faculty is a direct result of the Statistical Laboratory being named a Colorado State University Specialized Core Facility by the Office of the Vice President for Research. This designation recognizes the Laboratory’s service to multiple colleges, support to faculty, nurturing of early stages of experimentation and discovery, and provision of on-going education, training, and outreach activities.

About Eickhoff

Eickhoff received his Ph.D. in statistics from Iowa State University in 2002. From 2001-2009, he worked as an assistant and associate scientist at the University of Wisconsin Department of Biostatistics & Medical Informatics and the University of Wisconsin Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center. In this role he directed statistical consulting, working with basic and clinical sciences investigators to develop statistical considerations for grant and contract proposals, performing the appropriate analyses of the data, and collaborating on manuscripts and publications.

Eickhoff was involved in developing numerous successfully funded, peer-reviewed cancer projects and has authored/co-authored over 65 peer-reviewed publications. Eickhoff was also the consulting statistician for the American Family Children’s hospital.

The Franklin A. Graybill Statistical Laboratory has supplied statistical consulting and data analysis services to all colleges and many support service offices at Colorado State University since 1961.
