Tanyi to sign with Denver Broncos

Former Colorado State defensive end Lanston Tanyi has agreed to terms on a free-agent contract with the Denver Broncos, the team announced Sunday. Tanyi participated in the Broncos’ rookie minicamp, which began Friday and concluded today. Read more.

T&F: CSU second, women third

The Colorado State track & field team aimed to prove that it was truly among the best teams in the conference at the 2013 Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and it did just that. After four days of competition, the meet came to an end Saturday with the CSU men taking second place in the conference while the CSU women took third place. The men racked up 165 points, bested only by the Air Force Academy’s men’s squad. The women totaled 89.5 points, trailing only San Diego State and New Mexico, who took first and second places. Colorado State had highlights in various events Saturday, the meet’s final day. Read more.

Softball: Rams end season win

The Colorado State softball team concluded its series sweep of New Mexico on Saturday afternoon, coming back for a 10-5 win to secure a winning season and tie for second place in the final Mountain West standings. Read more.

Track: McMillin wins decathlon

Colorado State senior Josh McMillin came from behind to win the men's decathlon at the 2013 Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday, surpassing teammates Justin Green and Josh Cogdill on the second day of competition to win the event with a total of 6,873 points. Green finished second with a total of 6,772 points, while Cogdill took third with a total of 6,721 points. Read more.

Your CSU Rams renew their in-state rivalry with the Colorado Buffaloes on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 4 p.m. at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Students may purchase tickets now to see their Rams look to make it two wins in a row in the series!  Read more.
