President Frank announces start of CSU's 2010 Colorado Combined Campaign

November 2, 2010

The Colorado Combined Campaign is our opportunity, as state employees, to make charitable contributions through payroll deduction that help fund critical services and organizations in our community and across the state.

Dear Colleagues:

Colorado State University President Tony Frank

The Fort Collins community regularly steps up to support our campus and our students — funding new programs and facilities, participating in campus events, and advocating to keep our University strong. Now it’s our turn to show our support for the people of Fort Collins through our participation in the Colorado Combined Campaign.

Payroll deduction

The Colorado Combined Campaign is our opportunity, as state employees, to make charitable contributions through payroll deduction that help fund critical services and organizations in our community and across the state. Last year, Colorado State University employees rallied to give back $148,176, the second highest total among all state agencies.

Through the Campaign, we demonstrated that even in tough economic times, we recognize the importance of reaching out to help those who need our additional assistance. This level of giving speaks volumes about the CSU community and the compassion and support we provide to others.

Even small gifts make a big difference

This year, I’m challenging us to step up once again to do our part. Our goal this year is $150,000, and together, we can get there. Even small gifts make a big difference—if each of us gives just $2.06 from our monthly paychecks, we’ll meet and exceed this goal. We’ll also be doing something far more important—helping our friends, neighbors, and children in our community who are most in need. And to beat last year’s top state agency for donations, the University of Colorado-Denver, and assume our usual position as the top contributing state agency provides us additional incentive.

When you contribute to the Colorado Combined Campaign, you can designate that your personal gift go to any one of more than 750 charitable organizations in Colorado. Donations can be made through payroll deductions, credit card contributions, or by one-time check or cash donations. This year’s Campaign has gone green and paperless, so I encourage you to visit the Colorado Combined Campaign website for more information and to make your contribution.

Friends and neighbors need our support

Our friends and neighbors need our support, and while I know how much all of you give back to our campus and community every day, I’m urging you to join me in stepping up this fall to once again support The Colorado Combined Campaign. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Dr. Tony Frank
President
