Restaurant and Resort Management program gets a name change

The Restaurant and Resort Management program has become Hospitality Management. The name change more accureactely reflects the range of opportunities available to graduates of the program.

Name change better suited for program

The Restaurant and Resort Management program at Colorado State University has changed its name to Hospitality Management effective fall semester 2011. The new name more accurately reflects the range of opportunities available to students graduating from the program.

Prepared for hospitality careers

The Hospitality Management program has graduates working in all aspects of the hospitality industry from restaurants and hotels to time-shares, casinos, hospitals, wineries, and catering and event planning companies. The new name reflects a broad scope of academic coursework and service learning practica, as well as a wide array of employment venues for program graduates.

The major in Hospitality Management is part of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in the College of Applied Human Sciences.
