Virtuoso Series Concert Feb. 15

Eric Hollenbeck, Assistant Professor of Percussion at Colorado State, has performed with diverse organizations throughout the country, as timpanist for the International Cathedral Music Festival in London, England, and as a chamber musician in various ensembles. Hear him in his annual concert at CSU performing both new and old pieces.

At Eric Hollenbeck’s annual recital, the percussionist plays some old and some new pieces. Two new pieces are Bell Plates for multiple percussion and tape, and Dances of Earth and Fire, both by Peter Klatzow.

The program also includes In a Landscape by John Cage, and concludes with Shaken, Not Stirred by Michael Daugherty, featuring CSU’s own Shilo Stroman, Leo Canale, and Jeremy Maytum.

Virtuoso Series Concerts are followed by Meet the Artist receptions in which you can ask questions about the compositions and instruments, how to pursue a career in music, or congratulate the artist on a job well done!

Concert takes place in the Organ Recital hall

The concert will be held in the beautiful Organ Recital Hall in the University Center for the Arts.
