CSU closing at noon today (Wednesday, April 17)

The university will close at noon today, Wednesday, April 17.

Update 11:40 a.m., Wednesday, April 17

Weather conditions are deteriorating and heavy snowfall is in the forecast throughout the day and into tonight. The county offices also are closing today at noon.  Given this update and the increasing difficulty keeping campus streets and sidewalks clear, the university will close at noon today, Wednesday, April 17.

All classes and campus events scheduled for today are canceled at noon through the rest of the day. This closure only impacts the Fort Collins campus and does not include other classes and CSU offices off campus, such as Extension offices. Please check with those offices for updates.

Transfort buses will continue to operate, so students will be able to catch their buses as scheduled.

Employees who have emergency functions should check with their supervisor for instructions. Employees with emergency functions include, but are not limited to, CSU police, Facilities Management, Housing and Dining, Environmental Health Services, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories.

Update 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 17

Colorado State University is on a normal schedule today, April 17. The Public Safety Team will monitor conditions and the forecast throughout the day. Use caution while driving to campus and while walking across campus.

If you feel you cannot travel to campus, please contact your supervisor or professors to make arrangements.

CSU is on a normal schedule today, Tuesday, April 16.

Due to heavy snowfall, the forecast for continued snow, and the city's updated recommendation that people stay off city roads if possible, the university will suspend operations today at 3 p.m.

All classes and campus events scheduled for today are cancelled at 3 p.m. through the rest of the day. The city also is closing at 3 p.m.Transfort buses will continue to operate even with the city closure, so students will be able to catch their buses as scheduled.
