Men's Lacrosse, CSU vs. Boston College

February 27, 2009

Grab your green and gold and fight on!

First home game

Get ready to cheer for your four-time national champion Colorado State Men’s Lacrosse team as they take on 7th ranked Boston College on Sunday, March 1 at 1 p.m. for their first home game of the 2009 season to be played at Loveland Sports Park.

This should be an exciting and evenly matched game for the Rams since they are ranked 8th in the MCLA, so be sure to check it out. Wear your green Colorado State gear and support the CSU club lacrosse team.

Ranking process

The Rams came into the season ranked 7th in MCLA Division I, but moved back a spot after going 1-1 this past weekend. They played an outstanding game against 12th ranked UC Santa Barbara, scoring several goals in the remaining minutes to win 11-6. The following day was a different story as the Ram’s lost a tough game to 9th ranked Cal Poly by a score of 11-9.

New faces

This should be a thrilling season for CSU men’s lacrosse. They have a young team this year with mostly sophomores and juniors on the roster, but the amount of chemistry among the players should make up for that. With continued solid defensive play and a strong offensive attack they should be able to make a push for the championship.
