Wendy Woo at July 17 Lagoon Concert

July 16, 2013

In addition to having played in top venues on both coasts, the Wendy Woo Band performs frequently throughout the Rocky Mountain region and nearby states. Having recorded nine albums, Woo draws upon a deep catalog of songs in a wide range of genres: rock, blues, folk, and jazz.

The Wendy Woo Band loves performing catchy, upbeat songs that get everyone of all ages up and dancing!

From the pop rock sound of Out of My Head Over You to the acoustic rock feel of Down and Dirty -- their shows are not one to miss.

The Wendy Woo Band was also recognized as the winner of the Best Local Band category of Channel 7's 2011 A-List competition, voted by Channel 7's viewers.

A band with versatility

Woo can play as a solo, as a duo with vocalist and viola player Robin Hoch, or with a three, four, or five piece band.

This is possible because of the musicianship of the band’s members. Wendy plays acoustic and electric guitars, Robin plays viola and guitar, David plays drums, percussion, Chris plays rhythm guitar, bass and drums, and Mitch plays bass, guitar and keyboards.

A Fort Collins favorite

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series has been a summer event in Fort Collins for over 18 years.

Thanks to the generous support of Colorado State University, this event has continued to thrive and grow into the success it is today.

It is safe to say that the hundreds who attended years ago are part of the thousands who attend today.

The free concerts will be held, weather permitting, on Wednesday nights, running through to August 14.
