Free cholesterol screenings

Wednesday, Feb. 15, 8:15 a.m.
Lory Student Center, Room 203-205

Screenings will be provided free to everyone by the Health District of Northern Larimer County.

Appointments are required: call the Health District at (970) 224-5209 to register.

Results for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and blood glucose are obtained by a fingerstick test.

A registered nurse will check blood pressure, assess risk for diabetes and heart attack, explain the test results, provide a follow-up recommendation and health education materials within 20 minutes.

  • A twelve-hour fast is necessary for best results.
  • Medications are permitted if they may be taken without food.
  • Please drink at least 12-16 ounces of water prior to the test.
  • If you have diabetes, please check with your doctor regarding whether or not you should take your medicine or fast for this test.

Don’t miss this chance to improve your health!
