Avenir Museum Third Thursday Lecture

This month's Third Thursday Lecture Series presents the documentary, 'Blue Alchemy: Stories of Indigo,' the film tells the visually stunning stories of Indigo's cultural traditions, its history and importance in global trade.

Each third Thursday of the month, the Avenir Museum generally presents a topical lecture featuring the current exhibition and/or a unique costume or textile in the museum.

On November 15, please join the Avenir Museum staff for a viewing of Blue Alchemy: Stories of Indigo, a documentary produced by the Avenir Foundation.

The film viewing is free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.

A revival of the indigo industry

Filmed in India, Japan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Mexico, El Salvador, and the U.S., this documentary weaves together visually stunning stories of Indigo’s cultural traditions, its history and importance in global trade, and people who are reviving the industry for sustainable development.

The Avenir Museum is in Colorado State’s Department of Design and Merchandising, part of the College of Applied Human Sciences.
