John Coltrane's music reveals his passion for experimentation and for evoking deeply emotional responses. Join us for a concert of his challenging and spiritual music, tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the University Center for the Arts.

CSU Jazz Ensembles I and II will perform a program of big band arrangements of music by the great jazz saxophonist John Coltrane.

Coltrane is one of the most influential figures in the history of jazz, with a large body of great compositions in hard bop, modal and free jazz genres.

The CSU Jazz Ensembles will explore the challenging and spiritual music of this jazz giant through modern arrangements of Coltrane classics.
