Funds available for ergonomic equipment purchases

July 20, 2012

The Ergonomics program, as part of CSU's Office of Risk Management and Insurance, offers matching funds of up to $500 to support the modification of existing computer workstations to promote injury prevention.

Matching funds can be requested by any department or employee as long as that request is made to ergonomically improve a workstation or an identified ergonomic hazard. Employees and departments in need of assistance with equipment purchases due to budgetary restrictions are especially encouraged to apply for matching funds.

Criteria must be met

In order to obtain matching funds for ergonomic changes, the department or employee must meet certain criteria in order to be considered for matching funds.

These include but are not limited to:

  • Attendance at an Office Ergonomics training
  • Having an ergonomic evaluation performed within 12 months of the request for matching funds

The funding that is available for the ergonomics matching funds program is limited each fiscal year. Applications will be reviewed in the order received. Final decisions on funding reimbursement will be made by the CSU Physical Safety Subcommittee committee.
