Whether you're an incoming student, current student, alumnus, or simply want to get a glimpse of life as a CSU Ram, MyCSU is your one-stop-shop for everything related to student life.

MyCSU blogging team, Shelby Roberts, Jack McDonald and Danny ChristopherIn addition to the many videos that highlight student diversity and all the cool things CSU’s student organizations do, MyCSU features daily blogs that follow the lives of three current students. Danny Christopher, Jack McDonald, and Shelby Roberts are posting content about their personal lives, campus living and general college tips Monday through Friday every week.

Who are the MyCSU bloggers?

Danny Christopher is a senior journalism and technical communication major from Loveland, Colo., just a few minutes away from Fort Collins. He has been at CSU longer than the other MyCSU bloggers, and he hopes to share some of his veteran knowledge about being a CSU Ram in his blog, “Daily Dose of Danny.”

“When I’m not studying, I like to hang out and enjoy both Old Town, Fort Collins, and the CSU campus with friends,” Christopher says. “However, right now, all I have on my mind is graduation in May. I can’t wait to be done, but I’ll miss CSU.”

Jack McDonald is a freshman engineering major hailing from Chaska, Minn., a small town west of the Twin Cities. He lives an active lifestyle, playing soccer and golf and doing karate and kickboxing (in his younger years). Now, though, it’s all about hitting the ski slopes. McDonald is close with his family, which includes his mom, dad, sisters and Tucker, a golden retriever. As close as he is with his family, the distance between Colorado and Minnesota is much needed, he says.

“Sometimes, a little time with family not breathing down your neck is necessary - that’s part of why I ended up in Colorado,” McDonald says. “It was a good way for me to get away, enjoy the four seasons, get a great education, and most importantly, take advantage of the mountains.” Check out his blog, “On Track with Jack,” for the latest news on McDonald’s latest adventure at CSU.

Shelby Roberts is a freshman English education major from Salida, Colo. Despite being an avid writer, this is her first time writing in the blogosphere. In her blog, titled “Scripting Shelby,” she promises to share all the quirks and challenges that accompany the transition to college life.

“I love sharing the random moments as a student here at CSU and giving advice for those who are interested,” Roberts says. “My topics can range from tips to getting around campus to my night at Sundance”
