Working at CSU

Looking for faculty/staff to volunteer for Community Welcome event Aug. 26

August 11, 2009

Ever wonder who's responsible for educating our student population about local ordinances and good neighboring behavior?

Volunteers needed for just 3-4 hours

On the night of Aug. 26, in what has become a local tradition, over one hundred volunteers, including Fort Collins Police Officers, Colorado State University students, CSU and city staff, will visit over 2,000 homes close to campus.

Households will receive a unique deck of cards that include messages like, Take the initiative and get to know your neighbors, and You have a right to party; others have a right to sleep.

Welcome students back to city

In addition to educating students about good neighboring behaviors associated with off-campus living, the event was created to welcome students back to Fort Collins.

Each team stresses the importance for forming positive relationships with those living in close proximity.
