Concert Orchestra performs

December 6, 2011

The moving melodies of the violin, viola, cello, double bass, and piano are often featured in movie scores because of their powerful, emotive quality. Join the Concert Orchestra in a free concert in the UCA's beautiful Griffin Hall.

Wednesday, December 7
7:30-9 p.m.
Griffin Concert Hall
University Center for the Arts

The Concert Orchestra, conducted by Christy Muncey, welcomes you to join them for a lovely and fun evening of music for string orchestra.

Free and open to the public.

The ensemble

The Concert Orchestra is open to string students who wish to continue their participation in music after high school, and also serves as a working laboratory for students pursuing a Music Education degree.

In addition, the Concert Orchestra allows students enrolled in the Instrumental Conducting undergraduate class the opportunity to conduct an ensemble and develop appropriate conducting techniques prior to their student teaching experience.
