Celebrate with men's basketball at annual banquet

CSU fans will have one last chance to celebrate the landmark 2012-13 season at the annual men's basketball banquet, set for 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Lory Student Center.

Dorian Green, who started all four seasons, is one of five seniors being honored at the annual men's basketball banquet.The event will celebrate the Rams’ record-breaking 26-9 season that included a second-place finish in the Mountain West, a second-round NCAA Tournament victory over Missouri and a 27-game winning streak in Moby Arena.

Super seniors

CSU will also honor its remarkable senior class of Dorian Green, Wes Eikmeier, Pierce Hornung, Greg Smith and Colton Iverson. Those five – all starters – helped lead the program’s four-year turnaround from one of the worst in the Mountain West to one that earned four consecutive postseason berths, won 81 games and transformed basketball into must-see entertainment for fans.

Coach Larry Eustachy and athletic director Jack Graham will speak at the banquet, which is open to the public.

Tickets, which include dinner, are $30 and are available online. Preregistration is required.
