Kappa Sigma Fraternity hosts military non-profit event

April 6, 2009

The Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Colorado State University is home to over 40 members who have organized this event. Since their spring 2008 debut at Colorado State University these gentlemen have donated over 2,000 hours of community service. This event will be their first philanthropic endeavor, and can only hope for great success in order to support our heroes.

The Pi-Xi chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Colorado State University will be hosting a public event April 7, 2009, to raise money for our military heroes.

This night of fun will include a silent auction with numerous prizes of various values and a bachelor auction with some of Kappa Sigma’s finest gentlemen. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at Colorado State University in the Lory Student Center Main Ballroom.

The funds raised will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation. This organization builds “houses” on medical centers for the families of injured service men and women. This allows for families to stay with their hospitalized loved ones during the most stressful of times. The Fisher House Foundation currently serves about 10,000 families each year, and since its debut in 1990 has provided over 2.5 million days of lodging. To further support these families, the Fisher House Foundation needs continuous support from various organizations such as the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
