Renting 101: Preferred Tenant Workshop

January 23, 2011

Making the move off campus? Be proactive! Off-Campus Life is proud to present Renting101: Preferred Tenant Workshop.

Become an expert tenant

This workshop has been developed for students to become expert tenants by learning the lay of the land regarding the rental process, including information pertaining to:

  • leases
  • tenant’s rights
  • codes and ordinances
  • budgets
  • parties

This event will take place Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. in LSC Rm. 213.

Speakers to give expert advice

Becoming an expert tenant requires learning the ins and outs of renting, and to do that, a select group of experts will be on hand to answer all of your questions.

Better understand your role as a tenant

By taking this rental workshop, students will come away with the knowledge and resources to make finding a place -- and living off campus -- a much easier process. The student will also receive a certificate of completion that can be shared with landlords.

This event is free, but students must register by Jan. 25.
