CSU hockey team looking to sweep Buffs

February 8, 2013

The annual Rocky Mountain Faceoff, featuring the men's club hockey teams from CSU and the University of Colorado, is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland.

The game marks the first “Orange Out” in the CSU club team’s history, and fans are encouraged to wear orange. The Rams will join in the fun, wearing orange jerseys for the first time.

Proceeds from the game will benefit youth hockey in Northern Colorado and collegiate club hockey.

The Rams are ranked among the top five teams in the West. They took at 17-14-3 record into weekend games in Utah.

Rams looking to sweep

This is the fourth and final game in the annual series between the Rams and Buffs. CSU has dominated CU this season, winning the previous three matches by a combined 23-6 – including a 5-2 win at the Pepsi Center in Denver in October.

Tickets cost $13, $16 and $21, and are available online. CSU students get a $3 discount when presenting their student ID at the door.
