CSUPD has arrested individual for making threats

Robert ('RJ') Gildea has been arrested without incident.

Update at 9:25 p.m.

CSUPD has arrested suspect Gildea, named in a campus safety alert earlier this evening. Gildea was arrested without incident on an outstanding warrant as well as for today's activities.

Charges from today's activities are pending. When more information is available, this page will be updated.

Threats via text message

Posted at 6:30 p.m.

Police are currently seeking Robert Gildea (a.k.a. 'RJ') for allegedly making threatening remarks to an individual via text message. There were a variety of specific threats that included references to the Morgan Library.


Gildea is not a Colorado State University student and does not live on campus. Gildea has an active Fort Collins Police Department warrant and frequently uses public transportation.

If you see Gildea, do not approach him and call 911 immediately.
