Olde Rock Band opens Lagoon Concert Series

June 28, 2011

Colorado State's Lagoon Summer Concert Series is a cherished tradition in Fort Collins. Think warm summer nights; cool green grass; lemonade and fried chicken; and music that will make you want to get up and move your feet.

West Lawn of the Lory Student Center

Families and friends come into the cool shade under the large trees on the West Lawn of the Lory Student Center.

In front of the concert pavilion, they spread blankets or open camp chairs, settle the kids and family dogs, then produce picnic dinners. At last, they sit back and wait for the concert to begin...

Songs from the legends of rock

Kenny Cordova & The Olde Rock Band open the Lagoon Concert Series, appearing Wednesday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. The band has been entertaining at corporate functions, concerts, private parties, civic events and night clubs for over twenty five years.

Their songs are well fitted for the versatile voice of lead vocalist Kenny Cordova, who brings his excellent showmanship and high energy that all ages will enjoy to the stage.

A favorite tradition

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series has been a summer event in Fort Collins for over 18 years. Thanks to the generous support of Colorado State University, this event has continued to thrive and grow into the success it is today.

It is safe to say that the hundreds who attended years ago are part of the thousands who attend today. This is the 12th year that The Mantooth Company has produced the Lagoon Series.
