'Prayers for Bobby' March 28

ASCSU and GLBTRC will present "Prayers for Bobby," a made-for-television film about the life of Bobby Griffith, on March 28. The executive producer of the film will hold a Q&A session following the film.

About the film

A free showing of Lifetime's Prayers for Bobby will be shown on Sunday, March 28 at 5:30 p.m.

The film was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards (Outstanding Made-for-Television Movie; Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie - Sigourney Weaver).

Based on true story

Prayers for Bobby is based on the true story of the life and legacy of Bobby Griffith, a young gay man who killed himself due to his mother's and community's religious intolerance.

Executive producer will hold a Q&A

Daniel Sladek, executive producer of the film, will hold a question and answer session for community members and CSU students after the film screening.

Where: Lory Student Center, North Ballroom
