Open enrollment period now through Nov. 27

Human Resources benefits open enrollment, an employee's annual opportunity to make changes to their benefits plan for the next calendar year, is now through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Faculty, administrative professionals and non-classified staff can participate in this open enrollment.

You must complete the open enrollment process if you are:   

  • changing your benefits enrollment options (plans, pre/post-tax status, coverage levels, beneficiaries, etc.)
  • enrolling or continuing participation in a flexible spending account, health or dependent care in 2014
  • adding or removing a spouse, domestic partner, civil union partner or children under the age of 26 on your insurance plans (you must provide the social security number of any dependents)
  • changing your defined contribution plan retirement company beginning with 2014 contributions

Employees enrolled in a defined contribution plan should review your fund selections to ensure that they are consistent with your financial goals, and review your vendor selection; open enrollment is the only time you can change your defined contribution plan vendor.

Open enrollment changes are made online.  Steps to access the system are:

  • Select and log on to the campus administrative portal option for password-protected access.
  • Once you’ve logged in click on Human Resources
  • Select Employee self-service
  • Select CSU benefits

The open enrollment period includes the following highlighted events:

Benefits Fair 

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tues., Nov.12 in the LSC North Ballroom. Come visit with v your insurance and retirement plan vendors. View the Benefits Fair flyer.

In addition, vendors will provide one-hour sessions about benefits in the Lory Student Center Room 228.

  • Anthem: Medical plan overview, 9:30 a.m.
  • Delta Dental: Dental Plan Features and EyeMed Vision Discount
  • PERA: Defined benefit/PERACare retirement overview

Enrollment assistance

Human Resources provides help sessions on  enrollment assistance. Drop-in service also is available during open enrollment from 7:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., Human Resources, 555 S. Howes St., Second Floor. 

  • 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, Morgan Library Room 174
  • 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, Clark Building Room C143
  • 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, Morgan Library Room 174
