The CSU men’s basketball team hosts San Diego State at 8 p.m. Wednesday in what promises to be one of the biggest games of the season. The Rams are in second place in the Mountain West and can move into position to challenge for their first conference title in more than 20 years with a win over the talented Aztecs, who were the preseason favorites to win the MW title and have been ranked in the Top 25 for much of the season.

Fans are encouraged to wear orange to the game to honor the school’s past. CSU was known as Colorado A&M until 1957, and past teams featured orange and green as their official colors.

Rams are rolling

The Rams, who will be wearing orange uniforms for the fourth consecutive season, are off to the best start in school history, sporting a 19-4 overall record and 5-2 mark in conference play. They are the nation’s top rebounding team, and have won 26 consecutive games in Moby Arena – the third longest home winning streak in the country.
