Construction closes part of Animal Sciences lot

The far north end of the Animal Sciences parking lot, lot 455, will be fenced off to begin renovations on the Animal Sciences building on April 1.

The fencing will impact about 15 parking spots, and that number may change as the project evolves. The fencing also will reconfigure the traffic lane at the north end of the lot and pedestrian traffic into the building. The south entrances of the building will be closed for construction.

The $9.5 million renovation project includes a 2970 square foot addition on the north side of the building facing the Monfort Quad. The addition will include new classroom, laboratory and conference room space. .

The project is slated for completion in December, 2013.
