Arts & Science Exhibition entries due by Feb. 24

February 19, 2009

For the 4th year in a row, the Art and Science Exhibition invites CSU faculty, students, and staff to submit work that is either science-inspired art or artistically-appreciated science.

Works in any medium are welcome in this juried exhibition.

The opening reception for the exhibition will take place on Friday, March 6 from 4-6 p.m. in the Curfman Gallery.

Contributions from scientists

Hundreds of CSU science faculty, students, and staff are involved in experimentation and the creation of new knowledge. Although these individuals rarely consider themselves to be artists, the products of their labors are often strikingly complex and beautiful.

Contributions from artists

Similarly, their colleagues in art and design departments do not think of themselves as scientists, yet they often utilize modern technology in their work or use science as a metaphor in their creations.

Art and science cross media and disciplines

Works in any medium are welcome in this juried exhibition, offering the viewer a fascinating look at art and science that cross media and disciplines.

Those who are interested in submitting entries for this exhibition are required to complete an online registration by Feb. 24.

The works for this exhibition must then be dropped off (with completed registration) on Saturday, Feb. 28 between 10 a.m.-noon for a juried selection.
