Assistive Technology Resource Center hosts an open house on April 13

Colorado State University's Assistive Technology Resource Center will host an open house from 3-6 p.m. Monday, April 13 in Room 305 of the Occupational Therapy Building.

Ergonomic and computing solutions for all

Students, employees and community members are encouraged to stop by the center to learn about services the center provides, meet the staff and get an opportunity to see a variety of product demonstrations. Demonstrations will include ergonomic solutions and adapted computing solutions and software programs for people with learning disabilities, low vision, and blindness.

Variety of services

The Assistive Technology Resource Center provides a variety of services for the campus community in an effort to keep campus and education accessible to all. Among services, the center will:

  • assess how technology may assist someone with disabilities in teaching or learning on campus and work to make those accommodations
  • lease technical equipment
  • teach university Web developers how to make websites accessible to people with disabilities
  • help faculty and staff make programs, class materials and information accessible to students with disabilities
  • help instructors design laboratories so they are accessible
  • connect students and faculty with additional resources on and off campus
