Custodian kills manager and himself at Ohio State

March 10, 2010

An angry custodial worker at Ohio State University who had received a poor performance review and had been recently fired, shot two other employees, killing one of them, before killing himself Tuesday.

Nathaniel Brown walked into the Ohio State University building where he'd worked since October and killed his supervisor, shot another boss and then turned the gun on himself.

OSU police say Brown, 50, shot 48-year-old Larry Wallington, his immediate supervisor, about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday while Wallington was working third shift in a campus maintenance building.

The shooting did not involve any students. Classes during this week before finals went on as scheduled.
