Jazz Ensembles Concert October 3

Count Basie was an American jazz pianist, organist, band leader, and composer who introduced several generations of listeners to the Big Band sound. He was born in Red Bank, New Jersey where he started his career operating spotlights for vaudeville shows.

CSU Jazz Ensemble I presents a program of music from the Count Basie Orchestra featuring swinging masterpieces that are sure to keep your toes tapping and your spirit feeling warm all night.

Also featured will be Wil Swindler and Jazz Ensemble II. Join us for this celebration of the Kid from Red Bank.  

About the Jazz Ensembles

The concert is one of two performances the jazz ensembles will perform in Griffin Hall this semester. Students in the CSU Jazz Ensembles play both classic and contemporary compositions.
